In my early years, the Dalmatian coast was my underwater playground. Whether I was hunting for an octopus lunch or simply admiring the vibrant marine life, the Adriatic offered endless adventures. Although the sea faces challenges like overfishing and has fewer large fish compared to locations like the Maldives, it still shelters abundant marine treasures for those who know where to look.

Korcula Island: Croatia's Waterfront Jewel

I am often drawn to Lumbarda, situated on the southern brink of the Korcula archipelago. Surrounded by crystal waters and quaint vineyards, it remains my favourite spot to relax. Here, amidst summer's bustle, you can still witness spectacular sights like tunas diving for their prey.

Adjacent to Korcula lies Lastovo, another island renowned for its rich flora and fauna. Those with a motorboat can uncover secluded coves, while land lovers can drive to popular bays filled with summer vacationers.
